Caitlyn N. Greene, Esq. 

Caitlyn N. Greene, Esq. is a dedicated and relentless criminal defense attorney known for her tactical insight, client-focused advocacy, and collaborative approach. Caitlyn is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. Caitlyn is a Partner at The Mount Law Firm, PLLC, where she represents clients in juvenile delinquency, mental health, and civil matters and leads the firm's law clerk program, providing law students with hands-on training and mentorship. 

In addition to her practice, Caitlyn is a Professor at The George Washington University Law School, where she brings her experience as a practicing defense attorney into the classroom and mentors student attorneys. She also serves as Secretary of the Juvenile Bar Association, reflecting her continued commitment to strengthening juvenile defense practice and supporting the juvenile defense bar. Caitlyn is also an active member of the Superior Court Trial Lawyers Association.

Caitlyn has built a diverse background in public defense, having worked with the Maryland Office of the Public Defender, Orleans Public Defender Office, Federal Public Defender for the District of Columbia, and Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. These experiences have shaped her approach to advocacy, emphasizing thoughtful investigation, strategic defense, and meaningful relationships with clients and their support systems. She also previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Andrea Hertzfeld in D.C. Superior Court, where she worked on both the Felony 2 and Juvenile dockets. This experience provided her with valuable insight into judicial decision-making and the trial court process across both adult felony and juvenile delinquency matters.

Caitlyn earned her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law after initially relocating to the Washington, D.C. area to pursue graduate study in Forensic and Legal Psychology. Her academic interests in juvenile justice, substance abuse, criminology, and psychology ultimately led her to pursue a career in law. At AUWCL, she served as Vice President of the Criminal Law Society and as a student attorney in the Defense Criminal Justice Clinic, where she earned the Highest Grade Designation and ultimately  completed 635 hours of pro bono service.

Outside the courtroom, Caitlyn enjoys mentoring law students, collaborating with fellow attorneys, and contributing to the broader legal community. She is committed to zealous advocacy, thoughtful defense strategies, and ensuring that every client receives not only a vigorous defense, but also the support and guidance necessary to move forward beyond their case.
